The donation was symbolically handed over by the Sido Muncul President Director David Hidayat to the Police Inspector General Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, S.H., S.S.T. Since the emergency PPKM was imposed on 23 July 2021, Sido Muncul and the Pengusaha Peduli NKRI initiative have provided a total of Rp2 billion to assist those affected by the pandemic. As the PPKM enforcement continues, Sido Muncul has increased its pledge to Rp4.5 billion from Rp2 billion.

On working with the Regional Police to distribute the assistance, Irwan Hidayat stated:

“The police has the human resources to monitor the PPKM and assist the vaccination programme. As such, we sincerely hope that the assistance package can be distributed quickly to those in need and can help those in Central Java whose livelihoods are affected by the pandemic. We also express our gratitude to the Chief of the Central Java Police and his staff for their help in the distribution. I ask everyone to stand united, to observe the health protocols, and to comply with the Government’s regulations. I ask everyone to continue in their endeavour and in their prayers for this terrible time to pass.”
