Tolak Angin Launches Indonesia Travel Advertisement Introducing Manado to the World

Following the successful launch of the travel advert highlighting East Sumba, Tolak Angin launched its second travel advertisement featuring destinations in Manado, North Sulawesi at Resto Yamgor in Jakarta on Tuesday, 16 January 2024.

The video, which will be launched on YouTube, brings together the golden voices of Aurelie Moeremans, Ahmad Abdul, Ras Muhammad, Rahmania Astrini, and Prinsa and featured the theme of “Wonderful Manado.” It artfully unfolds through the enchanting notes of "Cikini Gondangdia," showcasing Manado’s travel destinations such as Paal Beach in Marinsow, Batu Dinding Kilo Tiga in Amurang, Bukit Larata in Kinunang, Bunaken National Park, Pulau Nain, and North Sulawesi’s traditional dance called Kabasaran.

The premiere of Tolak Angin’s Wonderful Manado advert was opened by the Kabasaran dance performance. Attending the event was Indri Wahyu Susanti, Head of Strategy, Monitoring and Partnerships of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and Tolak Angin brand ambassadors for the Wonderful Manado campaign.

Sido Mucul Director Irwan Hidayat remarked that Indonesia has a rich tapestry of culture and nature. Manado was chosen for its variety of travel destinations.

“Manado has many beautiful destinations, and we want to introduce Tolak Angin using music videos to visually showcase Indonesia’s beauty. At the same time, we also want to introduce traditional remedies. We have previously launched an advert featuring East Sumba and now we want to highlight North Sulawesi,” said Irwan.

“We hope that launching music videos showcasing Indonesia’s picturesque travel destinations can attract more people to visit and raise Tolak Angin’s profile in the world,” added Irwan.

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, expressed his appreciation for Tolak Angin’s latest advert.

“I highly appreciate the destination adverts initiated by Tolak Angin and hope that this launch will further promote tourism and creative economy at this country’s captivating destinations. I also hope that this advert can promote the #DiIndonesiaAja campaign, attract tourists, and raise Tolak Angin products further,” said Mr Sandiaga.
